Cosby went back to school, got his GED, enrolled at Temple University in 1961, but left in 1962 to pursue stand-up comedy.  He eventually earned an honorary bachelor’s degree from Temple in 1971, followed by a master’s degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 1973.
