How YOU Can Get Off the Sidelines and Into the Political Game

(Chuck Muth) – First, our “Pastapalooza” conservative awards dinner is now SOLD OUT.  Looking forward to seeing many of you at the Italian-American Club Wednesday night.

We’ll be honoring April Becker, Annie Black, Megan Barth, Courtney Holland, Brittany Sheehan, Sigal Chattah, Joey Gilbert, and Drew Johnson.

Also, our Reagan Legacy Award honoree, Richard Viguerie, should be jetting his way across the country from back east as we speak (hope he’s not on Southwest!).  He and I plan to catch up this evening while watching the Monday Night Football game.

And a big part of the conversation will be…

In his new book, “Go Big,” Richard argues that conservatives need “at least 2,000 new local, state, and national single-issue organizations” to compete with the 20,000+ liberal organizations already out there.

You up for starting one?

Don’t worry.  You don’t have to know what to do to get off the ground.  I’ll help you.

You just need to be passionate about making a difference and commit to doing what needs to be done regardless of barriers and obstacle.

Which reminds me of this old “Letter to Garcia” story excerpt from 1899…

When war broke out between Spain and the United States, it was necessary to communicate quickly with the leader of the insurgence. Garcia was somewhere in the mountain vastness of Cuba – no one knew where. No mail or telegraph message could reach him. The President must secure his cooperation, and quickly. What to do?!

Someone said to the President, “There’s a fellow by the name of Rowan who will find Garcia for you, if anybody can.” Rowan was sent for and given a letter to be delivered to Garcia.

How “the fellow by the name of Rowan” took the letter, sealed it up in an oilskin pouch, strapped it over his heart, in four days landed by night off the coast of Cuba from an open boat, disappeared into the jungle, and in three weeks came out on the other side of the island, having traversed a hostile country on foot and delivered his letter to Garcia – are things I have no special desire now to tell in detail.

The point that I wish to make is this: McKinley gave Rowan a letter to be delivered to Garcia; Rowan took the letter and did not ask, “Where is he at?” … The world cries out for such. He is needed, and needed badly – the man who can carry a message to Garcia.

The conservative movement – in Nevada and nationally – needs men and women who will stop at nothing in the never-ending battle with those on the left who are committed to destroying that which has made this nation great.

So what’s the “right stuff”?

“The difference between a successful person and others,” legendary football coach Vince Lombardi once said, “is not a lack of strength, not a lack of knowledge, but rather a lack in will.”

If you have the will, we’ll find the way.

“Dudes and dudettes who get stuff done,” writes legendary copywriter John Carlton, “stare down obstacles and find ways through or around them, but they’re the minority.”

Are you in that minority?

“The brick walls are there for a reason,” said Randy Pausch of Carnegie Mellon in his infamous Last Lecture. “The brick walls are not there to keep us out. The brick walls are there to give us a chance to show how badly we want something. Because the brick walls are there to stop the people who don’t want it badly enough.”

Do you want to get involved and make a real difference badly enough?

“My own heroes are the dreamers, those men and women who tried to make the world a better place than when they found it, whether in small ways or great ones,” wrote author George R.R. Martin. “Some succeeded, some failed, most had mixed results. But it is the effort that’s heroic, as I see it. Win or lose, I admire those who fight the good fight.”

Are you one of those heroes who’s up for a good fight?

It’s not a question of who will let you do it; it’s who’s going to stop you.  Don’t let anyone stop you.  Don’t wait for orders from above.  Just take the ball and run with it.  For example…

In 2015, a small group of ticked-off moms, led by Erin Phillips, got together in someone’s living room to talk about how to fight the Clark County school district and protect the rights of parents in their kids’ education.

Over the next couple of years, that ad hoc group officially formed the Power2Parent Union – which has grown to 10,000 members, with chapters in other states. And they have been extremely effective in fighting for parental rights.

From small acorns, mighty oaks are born.

Are you a conservative “acorn” who’d like to get off the sidelines and into the game?

Are you passionate about an issue – education, taxes, spending, guns, abortion, election reform, children, veterans, immigration, law-and-order, business, environment, health, whatever?

Well, let’s get you suited up!

You don’t need experience.  You don’t need connections.  You don’t need a lot of money.  And you certainly don’t need “permission.”  You just need to be shown how to get the ball rolling.

As NFL great Johnny Unitas would say, “Talk is cheap. Let’s go play.”

As per Mr. Viguerie’s call-to-arms, Citizen Outreach Foundation is now putting together an “incubator” program to help get you off the ground here in Nevada.

If this is something you possibly might be interested in, shoot an email to chuck@citizenoutreach.com and give me a very brief overview of what your interest is.

Who knows?  You might be the next Erin Phillips!

There’s a heated fight for the Nevada GOP’s vacant Republican National Committeewoman post. Two main candidates have emerged.  The race has already gotten nasty and is already dividing the party’s factions…as usual.

But have no fear.  I have the win-win compromise to fix the problem and avoid another messy internal brouhaha!  Inner Circle members can click here to access the solution.

FAMOUS LAST WORDS
