GOP’s #3 Says Tax Hikes are “On the Table”

Assemblyman Tom Grady (R-Yerington), #3 on what passes for “leadership” in the GOP Assembly caucus, addressed the upcoming session and the state’s overspending deficit in the Reno Gazette-Journal this morning. “Nothing’s sacred, everything’s on the table,” he told the paper, noting, “I’m going into it with an open mind.”

Translation: I’m open to be the one Republican that Democrats will need to get to the 2/3 majority they’ll need to pass any tax increases this coming session, just as I voted for that $292 million tax hike last session.

Grady has not signed the Taxpayer Protection Pledge. With Republican friends like Grady, Republican Gov. Sandoval might not need any enemies.
