Nadia Comaneci
The Romanian gymnast who wow’ed the world with her perfect 10’s in the 1976 Montreal Olympics “confirmed rumors” in a Life magazine article “that she tried to kill herself at age 15 by drinking bleach.”
According to wire service reports, “Comaneci said she was hospitalized for two days and was ‘glad because I didn’t have to go to the gym.’”
