The award-winning actress tried to kill herself after her tumultuous marriage to former Atlanta Braves baseball star David Justice came to an end.
“I was sitting in my car, and I knew the gas was coming when I had an image of my mother finding me,” she told Parade magazine. That snapped her out of it.
“My sense of worth was so low,” Berry said. “I promised myself I would never be a coward again.”
