19.) In 2013, Cruz launched a 21-hour filibuster in the Senate in an effort to defund ObamaCare. During the talk-a-thon he read from Dr. Seuss’s Green Eggs and Ham book.
Some of his colleagues were not happy. In criticizing the filibuster, Sen. Bob Corker called him “confused,” while Sen. John McCain referred to him and his allies as “wacko birds.” (Source: Wikipedia)
