Wow, What a Night…Pastapalooza, Baby!

First, let me take a minute to thank everyone who came to Wednesday night’s action-packed, fun-filled, star-studded, gangster-themed “Pastapalooza” conservative awards dinner…and I apologize to everyone who couldn’t join us because it sold out.

A good time was had by all!

The Italian-American Club and its staff were great hosts and did a wonderful job – especially the food!  Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Ditto Carmine Mandia and his band.  Great entertainment…including the music back-up for our “On Top of Spaghetti” singing contest – won by conservative talk-show host Heidi “The Mouth” Harris.

And yes, you missed me singing a duet of the song with Carmine – a punishment/performance not likely to be repeated anytime soon!

Thanks, also, to our generous sponsors for the event, including Chris Carr of the Better Nevada PAC (which was instrumental in electing Gov. Joe Lombardo), Robert Beadles of The Franklin Project, John “Johnny White Paper” Tsarpalas of the Nevada Policy Research Institute, former Assemblyman Ed Goedhart of Ponderosa Dairies and George “The Enforcer” Harris of Liberty Watch Magazine.

And to our “Conservative Champion” award recipients: April “The Shiv” Becker, Megan “Sweet Lips” Barth, Brittany Sheehan, Courtney Holland, Joey Gilbert, Sigal Chattah, Annie Black and Drew Johnson.

Megan Barth, Breitbart Award recipient

Courtney Holland, Conservative Rising Star Award recipient

Sigal Chattah, Courage Under Fire Award recipient

Annie Black, Conservative Legislator of the Year Award recipient

Drew Johnson, Unsung Hero Award recipient

And to our “Regan Legacy Award” recipient and keynote speaker, Richard “The Godfather” Viguerie.  What a trooper.  At 89 years of age, he was one of the first to arrive and last to leave; generously spending time with guests and autographing his book for them.

And to Bill “The Barber” Laub, the event’s main sponsor whose table of skill and guessing games in the back of the banquet room put an extra amount of FUN in our fundraising event.

But especially to our friend Jenna “The Fixer” Lawrence, who jumped in at the last minute to bring order out of the chaos created when we realized we’d oversold the event.

Thanks to Jenna, our executive director, Raven Omojola, our UNLV intern, Zoe Felbein, and other volunteers (including my kids), we were able to process everyone through the check-in line fairly quickly and into seats.

And lastly, a big thank you to our photographer, Connie “Blue Eyes” Palen.  A true professional whose Polaroids of the event can be accessed and downloaded by clicking here.

They’re all great…but this one of my wife, Gia, explaining to Mr. Viguerie how I don’t know the difference between a Flat-head and Phillips-head screwdriver is my favorite…

Not sure how we’re gonna be able to top Pastapalooza…but we’re already planning a spring shindig for sometime in April.  If you don’t want to risk being shut out again, make sure you buy your tickets as soon as the event is announced.

And yes, Inner Circle members will get advanced notice before the general public.  See below for information on how to join…
