Understatement of the Year Award Goes to…

This has got to be, hands down, the Understatement of the Year, courtesy of Dan Klaich, chancellor of the Nevada System of Higher Eduction:

“I think we have been guilty of hyperbole in the past where, you know, we get the first dollar of a cut and we would like you to believe that the sky is falling. Here we are a few years later and lo and behold the sky is right where it started out. It has not fallen in.”

Remember that the next time Mr. Klaich and his minions run around at a press conference of legislative hearing squawking, “The sky is falling; the sky is falling!” And yes, there WILL be a next time.
