The conservative/libertarian Nevada Policy Research Institute (NPRI) recently issued its ratings for the 2011 Nevada Legislature….and state Sen. Don Gustavson (R-Washoe) came out on top. As such, Citizen Outreach CEO Dan Burdish researched all 624 votes cast by Sen. Gustavson and compared the votes of his Democrat colleagues to see how they measured up the Gustavson Standard.
Get this: Bolshevik Sen. Mike Schneider – he of mandatory tire pressure checks fame – voted most often with Sen. Gustavson, casting his lot with the conservative senator 88.94 percent of the time. The Democrat who voted least often with Sen. Gustavson? Sen. Shirley Breeden at 79.97 percent.
Go figure.
