Susie Lee’s “Squad” Strikes Again

(Chuck Muth) – Some of Rep. Susie Lee’s (D-NV) fellow freshman House Democrats – “The Squad” – are so far out in left field they may as well be selling hot dogs in the upper deck.  A sampling just from recent days…

Not satisfied with $15/hour, Rep. Rashida Tlaib has now proposed a job-killing national minimum wage of $20 an hour.  If successful, many entry-level jobs will disappear and unemployment, especially among youth and minorities, will return to Obama-era levels.

Right now, unemployment is at record lows across the board.  But minimum wage increases will only succeed in pricing many low-skilled, entry-level jobs out of the market.

In fact, recent minimum wage increases have resulted in workers being replaced by machines and self-serve kiosks.  Or full-time jobs have been eliminated and replaced with part-time jobs.

Indeed, the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) has estimated that an increase to $15/hour would kill off 1.3 million jobs.  Imagine how many would be lost at $20/hour!

Does Susie Lee agree with “Squad” classmate Rep. Tlaib that the minimum wage should be raised to $20/hour?  If so, why not $25?  Or $50?

Meanwhile, fellow “Squad” member Rep. Ilhan Omar has called for taxpayer-funded abortions for illegal immigrants.

“No one should fear receiving medical care because they are undocumented,” Omar tweeted on Monday.  “We must ensure that all people in our country have access to reproductive health care.”

“Undocumented” = Illegal.

“Access” = taxpayer funded.

“Reproductive health care” = abortion.

If it walks like a duck, swims like a duck and quacks like a duck, it’s a duck…no matter what else you might try calling it.

Not to be outdone, Susie Lee’s fellow “Squad” classmate Rep. Alexandria Cortez-Ocasio said over the weekend that American taxpayers should provide “mental health care services” to illegal immigrant children “for the rest of their lives.”

American CITIZENS don’t even get that!

All of this in light of a new Gallup poll showing immigration to be the “most important problem” facing the nation.

Does Susie Lee agree with Omar and AOC that taxpayers should be on the hook for abortions and mental health care services for illegal immigrants?

Unfortunately, Ms. Lee consistently refuses to tell voters where she stands on explosively controversial issues such as these.  By refusing to distance herself from them, one can only assume she’s a fellow member of “The Squad.”
