(Chuck Muth) – I wrote about this several weeks ago. Seems a number of folks going to the DMV had their voter registration changed, without their knowledge or permission, from whichever party they were registered under to “Other.”
According to liberal blubber-blogger Jon “I Don’t Understand Much About Politics” Ralston, the DMV “glitch” has affected a whopping 44,000 voters statewide.
But, he twit-tweeted, “It’s actually not a huge deal.”
Um, yes, it is.
Fortunately, Nevada hasn’t completely lost its mind and still holds “closed” primaries. Which means you must be a registered Democrat or Republican to, you know, vote in either the Democrat or Republican primary elections.
If the government – via the DMV – is switching people from Democrat or Republican to “Other” without their knowledge or permission, those voters won’t get their party’s sample ballot and won’t be allowed to vote in the partisan primary elections unless they find out and change their affiliation back.
In January 2021, there were just over 436,000 active registered “non-partisans.” In November 2021, the Secretary of State’s office reported the number had shot up to over 501,000.
By comparison, in January 2021 there were over 576,000 active registered Republicans. By November, after the DMV “glitch,” that number shrunk to just over 550,000 – some of which may be due to “list hygiene” after the voter file was “purged” of inactive voters. But still…
Mr. “I Don’t Know Much About Politics” has gleefully been reporting on the surge in “non-partisan” voters in Nevada for months, suggesting it was proof that voters were willfully fleeing the major parties en masse.
Turns out he was wrong.
Again.
As usual.
No surprise.
Par for the course.
If You Have to Ask, You Wouldn’t Understand
Michelle Tandler, a self-described “Moderate Liberal” living in San Francisco, tweeted on Sunday…
“Here is what confuses me about San Francisco. We have the most liberal, left-wing government & population in the country. We have a $13B budget. And we have 8,000 people sleeping in the rain this week. Can someone please explain this to me?”
Um, because liberal, left-wing, government-knows-best, tax-and-spend policies don’t work.
Thank you for asking.
COVIDiocy Questions
If you haven’t gotten the vax but also haven’t gotten the COVID, what’s your incentive to get the controversial shot now?
If you got the vax and nevertheless got the COVID afterwards, do you feel you’ve been deceived by both your government and by “science experts” in the medical community?
If you got the vax and got the COVID anyway, do you see any reason to get a booster, especially since you now have a level of natural immunity?
If you got the vax and haven’t gotten the COVID afterwards, do you think it’s definitely because of the vax, or is it possible you’re like millions of others who haven’t gotten the COVID because you haven’t been exposed to it?
Inquiring minds wanna know.
