The new-and-improved Nevada Libertarian Party, under the direction of Libertarian National Committeeman Brett Pojunis, has launched a campaign to double its membership. And as political soulmates of conservatives (Ronald Reagan: “I believe the very heart and soul of conservatism is libertarianism”), that’s not a bad thing – especially considering how many Gumby Republicans we have here.
Anyway, to kick their effort into high gear the LP is hosting a happy hour (!) event this Friday, October 26 at 5:00 pm at the Dal Toro Italian Ristorante – which, if you’ve never been there, also boasts “one of the most impressive luxury, exotic and rare car collections under one roof.” Dal Toro is located inside The Palazzo on the Strip.
And in addition to featuring both the party’s presidential and vice presidential candidates, the event will include stand-up comedian Doug Stanhope, political satirist and radio host Kennedy, professional boxer Ron “The American Dream” Johnson, Survivor reality TV star Rupert Boneham and author/Austrian economist Walter Block.
Whether you join the LP or not, this sounds like it’s gonna be an awfully fun event – especially for right-thinking political junkies. So, of course, I’ll be there! And I hope to see some of you there, as well.
