Muth’s Truths PLUS: June 1, 2024

* Rep. Cory Mills (R-Florida) has suggested the Republican Party move its national convention date to July 4th so that Donald Trump can be nominated on Independence Day.  Boy, would I LOVE to see that!

* In response to the rigged felony conviction of Donald Trump in New York this week, Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) tweeted, “No one in this country is above the law – including former President Trump.”

* To which New York City Councilwoman Vickie Paladino responded: “The guy who illegally tried to stop a congressional vote by pulling a fire alarm and got in zero trouble for it wants you to know that nobody is above the law.”

* Mr. Bowman obviously lacks in the self-awareness department.  And, um, if nobody is above the law, then why are there so many illegal aliens running free all around our country?

* I had to show photo ID yesterday to buy…AIR!  I kid you not.

* Went to the store to pick up a cannister of compressed air to clean out my daughter’s computer.  When I scanned it at the self-checkout counter, a wait-for-clerk message popped up on the register.

* I actually had to show a photo ID to buy…AIR!  But not to vote?  Gimme a break.

* On Friday, Republican Congressional District 4 candidate Dave Filippo sent out a dishonest fundraising email in which he wrote…

“The President got convicted in a Kangaroo Court and John Lee when asked if Trump was convicted would he support him; Lee said this: ‘That’s a good question…that’s a hard question it really really is. I’m not gonna answer that question.”

* As he shouldn’t have.  It was a totally hypothetical question posed by an ass-clown liberal interviewer MONTHS before the New York jury decision against Trump came down. There was no way for Lee – Flippo’s GOP primary opponent – to know what was going to happen.

* In reality, here’s what Lee wrote on Twitter/X immediately after the jury decision was handed down: “The real verdict will come on November 5th. #Trump2024.”

* It’s a shame Flippo and his incompetent campaign management team felt they had to lie to voters about Mr. Lee’s position in order to scare up a few bucks.  Too bad there’s no “truth in advertising” law that applies to politics.

In the GOP primary for U.S. Senate, I’m still waiting to see if and/or who Donald Trump endorses.

So no, I haven’t decided in that race yet – though I continue to be concerned about Sam Brown’s electability and what he’d actually do in office, especially after his major league flip-flop on Yucca Mountain a week ago.

He had it right…before he came under political pressure to change position.  Not a good look.  Harbinger of things to come?

And since so many Brown supporters have been obnoxiously telling me the election is over and Sam already has this “in the bag,” I guess they won’t mind if I don’t vote for him in the primary?

At this point, it doesn’t look like Trump is going to make any endorsement in this race.  I suspect his heart lies with Jeff Gunter, but the writing on the wall appears to be for Brown.  So if I had to vote today – I don’t – I’d likely vote for either Gunter or Tony Grady.

“Every man with a pair of testicles is voting for Donald Trump in 2024.  Every woman with a pair of testicles is voting for Joe Biden in 2024.” – Meme seen on Twitter/X

“Let me say this, Donald: I’m your biggest hater. I HATE that there is even potential for you to take office again.” – Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Somalia)

“I don’t know what this world is coming to when you can’t trust a porno actress to uphold her non-disclosure agreement. It almost makes one lose faith in the whole pornography industry.” – Jon Caldera, Independence Institute

“If Trump is elected, he will have access to the nuclear codes to launch Armageddon, but because now he’s technically a felon he won’t be able to buy a firearm.  Only in America.” – Jon Caldera, Independence Institute
