Something to keep in mind as Obama’s minions continue to beat up on Mitt Romney’s record as governor of Massachusetts: He was stuck with a Democrat legislature with a huge majority.
Indeed, in 2002-2004, the Massachusetts House was 82.5% Democrat and the Massachusetts Senate was 85.6% Democrat. And in 2004-2006, the Massachusetts House was 85% Democrat and the Massachusetts Senate was 86.8% Democrat.
As such, as Grover Norquist of Americans for Tax Reform points out, “During Romney’s four-year period as Governor, he never had a moment when he could successfully veto any Democrat legislation if the Democrats voted together.”
