In a district court decision handed down today, Judge Jerry A. Wiese II ruled that the Legislature does enjoy a looser standard when it comes to applying the “single subject” rule than the standard the Legisalture itself created for The People when it comes to ballot initiatives, but that case law seems to indicate the Legislature is within its right to treat itself differently, and better, than the rabble it oversees.
Citizen Outreach is a co-plaintiff in the lawsuit. The case is likely to be appealed.
