Laxalt Goes Full “Benedict Arnold”

(Chuck Muth) – According to a tweet on Friday by DC political strategist Chris LaCivita, the PAC formed to promote the presidential campaign of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has ousted its leader, former Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli, and replaced him with…

Adam Laxalt.

This morning, FOX News confirmed the shake-up, but the PAC told FOX that Cuccinelli’s “role as the group’s founder continues and that there are no changes to his role or responsibilities.”

Either way, it’s gonna be fun to see how Laxalt explains his swamp-like flip-flop and betrayal of Donald Trump after declaring just a year ago: “I have President Trump’s endorsement and he has mine for 2024.”

Oops.

The really funny thing about this is the silence coming from the acerbic Rick Grenell, a senior Trump advisor and Laxalt BFF who accused Trump supporters of being “disloyal” to the ex-president for supporting Sam Brown over Laxalt in last year’s GOP primary for U.S. Senate.

But he’s said NOTHING about Laxalt himself being disloyal to Trump, who was the sole reason Laxalt won that primary.

Why’s the cat suddenly got Ricky’s tongue?  There’s something really weird about the Laxalt-Grenell relationship. They might need some counseling after this.

FAMOUS LAST WORDS

“I will often take years to take my revenge, hiding in the tall grass, my stiletto at the ready, waiting patiently until you think I have forgotten or forgiven a past slight and then, when you least expect it, I will spring from the underbrush and plunge a dagger up under your ribcage.” – Robert Fulgham
