Nevada’s unemployment number shrank ever-so-slightly again for the third month in a row. And while some will say this is primarily due to more and more workers simply giving up on the possibility of finding a job and/or moving to another state, it should be pointed out that the numbers also started shrinking around the same time Republicans took control of the House and Harry Reid lost his super-majority control of the Senate.
It was also around the same time Gov. Brian Sandoval took control of the Nevada governor’s office and firmly declared “no new taxes, while Democrats in Nevada lost their super-majority in the state Assembly and pro-tax Republican state Sen. Bill Raggio retired. But I’m sure that’s all just a coincidence, right?
