Collins gets union boss to acknowledge right-to-work

Most people missed this exchange at the Clark County Commission this week, but one astute non-union contractor caught it.

Clark County Commissioner Tom Collins: Men and women can [get hired through] the union halls without joining the union in Nevada?

Union represenative: That could happen, yes.

In other words, LEGALLY a construction worker can apply for work through the union halls without joining the union. Realistically, however, the odds of the union calling your number to work on a job without belong to the union and paying the union’s extortion…er, dues…is pretty slim.

But it was pretty interesting to see a Democrat get a union official to admit publicly that Nevada is a right-to-work state.
