Another Union Whopper

Earlier this week, Danny Thompson, Executive Secretary-Treasurer of the AFL-CIO made the following claim on Sam Shad’s Nevada Newsmakers program while whining about Gov.elect Sandoval’s pledge not to raise taxes:

“If you laid off all the State employees today, got rid of all of them, forget about cutting their salary or trimming back on their retirement, lay ’em all off. You still don’t (have) the money in the second year of the budget to pay for education.”

I’d love to see Danny back up that claim with actual figures. Then again, the AFL-CIO has never let the facts of the truth get in the way of a good fear-and-smear campaign.
