Earlier this week, Nevada Republican Party Chairman Michael McDonald released the results of the balloting by Nevada’s convention delegates that resulted in Wayne Terhune, a Reno Ron Paul supporter, being elected to lead the Nevada delegation at the national GOP convention in Tampa – where several delegates broke the “binding” rule and voted for Paul instead of Mitt Romney.
In response to the release of the voting results, Terhune on Monday fired off an angry email to Jim DeGraffenreid, Secretary of the Nevada Republican Party.
“I was under the impression that those votes cast by the delegation for Delegation Chair were cast in confidence, and were intended to remain secret,” Terhune wrote. “You were chosen to administer this balloting, and this apparent betrayal of our trust is quite troubling.”
Wow, if that’s not the pot calling the kettle black I don’t know what is!
As DeGraffenreid put it best in his response:
“This violation (breaking of the “binding” rule by some Paul delegates) caused the votes of over 30,000 Nevada Republicans at the caucus to be disregarded, wasting the time and effort of those that attended as well as planned and facilitated the caucus.”
In other words, the rogue Paul delegates betrayed the trust the very Nevada Republicans who sent them to Tampa.
Isn’t this clown Terhune’s 15 minutes up yet.
