In case you haven’t heard yet, Nevada State Sen. Elizabeth Halseth (R-Cheaterville) finally and belatedly quit today, telling Gov. Brian Sandoval that because of the “level of trust” her constituents have placed in her, she feels compelled to resign.
Of course, if she hadn’t violated the “level of trust” her husband had placed with her when they exchanged marriage vows, none of this would have been necessary, would it Senator?
Halseth also whined about her “reputation and integrity being regularly demonized by selfish partisans and a handful of reckless bloggers.” Gee, I wonder who she’s talking about there?
She also laughably claimed that because of “salacious, unfounded personal attacks” on her…what was it again? oh, yeah…reputation and integrity, that it’s now “impossible to locate employment here in Nevada.”
What a load of horse crap.
Believe you me, there’s a LOT more to this story that I haven’t told y’all yet – including what was REALLY behind the TIMING of Sen. Harlot’s…er, Halseth’s resignation (do you really think it was just because the Democrats had a cow over her missing a legislative meeting two days ago?), which I shall share with you in what will be the Epilogue of “The Elizabeth Halseth Story” later this weekend.
And somehow, I suspect this final installment is going to be a real barn-burner! Reckless blogger, indeed.
